Shree Guru Charan Saroj Raj, Nij Man Mukar Sudhari,

Barnau Raghuvar Bimal Jasu, Jo dayaku Phal Chari

With the dust of Guru's Lotus feet, I clean the mirror of my mind and then
narrate the sacred glory of Sri Ram Chandra, The Supereme among the Raghu
dynasty. The giver of the four attainments of life.

Budhi heen Tanu Janike, Sumirow, Pavan Kumar,
Bal Buddhi Vidya Dehu Mohi, Harahu Kalesh Bikaar
Knowing myself to be ignorent, I urge you, O Hanuman, The son of Pavan! O
Lord! kindly Bestow on me strength, wisdom and knowledge, removing all my
miseries and blemishes.

Jai Hanuman Gyan Guna Sagar
Jai Kipis Tihun Lok Ujgaar

Victory of Thee, O Hanuman, Ocean of wisdom and virtue, victory to the Lord of
monkeys who is well known in all the three worlds

Ramdoot Atulit Bal Dhamaa,
Anjani Putra Pavansut naamaa.

You, the Divine messager of Ram and repository of immeasurable strength, are also
known as Anjaniputra and known as the son of the wind - Pavanputra.

Mahebeer Bikram Bajrangi,
Kumati Nivaar Sumati Ke Sangi.

Oh Hanumanji! You are valiant and brave, with a body like lightening. You are the
dispeller of darkness of evil thoughts and companion of good sense and wisdom.

Kanchan Baran Biraaj Subesaa,
Kanan kundal kunchit kesa.

Shri Hanumanji's physique is golden coloured. His dress is pretty, wearing
'Kundals' ear-rings and his hairs are long and curly.

Hath Bajra Aur Dhvaja Birjai,
Kandhe Moonj Janeu saage.

Shri Hanumanji is holding in one hand a lighting bolt and in the other a banner
with sacred thread across his shoulder.

Shankar Suvna Kesari Nandan,
Tej Pratap Maha Jag Vandan.

Oh Hanumanji! You are the emanation of 'SHIVA' and you delight Shri Keshri.
Being ever effulgent, you and hold vast sway over the universe. The entire

History of Holi

We all celebrate Holi but hardly anyone knows the reason behind its celebration and origin. Originally Holi is a Spring festival. It celebrates good harvests and fertility of the land. There are many legends and history associated with the origin of this spring festival. The most popular among these legends is the one about the story of Prahlad, the son of the evil King Hiranyakasipu and the devotee of lord Vishnu. He tried hard to kill him but every time Lord Vishnu saved him. One of the sisters of the king named Holika had a boon to remain unscathed by fire, so she followed her brother's wishes. However, with this sinful act against Lord Narayana's devotee, Holika's boon ended and she was burnt to ashes, while Prahlad came out safe. From that day onwards Holi is celebrated as the festival of the victory of good over evil. Even today, bonfires are lit on the night before Holi in memory of the event and burning of the evil Holika. It symbolizes the victory of Good over evil. Holi commemorates this event from mythology, and huge bonfires are burnt on the eve of Holi as its symbolic representation.

Holi also celebrates colors. It is called the festival of colors. Lord Krishna and Radha is associated with the celebration of colors. It is the immortal love of Krishna and Radha, which is associated with the celebration of colors in Holi. Holi is also called Vasant Utsav or the festival of spring. The day after burning the Holika people put the ashes from the fire as Vibhuti on their forehead often mixed with Chandan paste (Sandalwood paste). Around the same time of the year as Holi, Catholics also celebrate ash ceremony called, Ash Wednesday. It is believed that on the day Holika was burnt Lord Shiva opened his third eye and burnt Kaamdev (the God of Love) to ashes because once Kaamdev in his foolish pride aimed his love arrow at Lord Shiv who was in deep meditation. Sensing his presence Lord Shiv opened his third eye and burnt Kaamdev to ashes. Rati, Kaamdev's wife, beseeched Lord Shiv to take pity on her and restore her husband to life. Shiv relented and granted her the boon that she could see her husband but he would remain without a physical form. Hence, the songs sung during Holi tell the tale of Rati and her lamentations. These are the few legends, which tells us the origin of Holi festival and its celebration.

ORIGIN OF TULSI (BASIL)

                                                        ORIGIN OF TULSI (BASIL)

Having cursed by Vrinda, Lord Vishnu cursed her back that as she had cursed him to become a black stone, So I curse you to become a tree. In tree form also you will be known as Tulsi and without your worship, mine worship will not be complete. Since then formal worship of Shaligrama began, and Tulsi leaves are specifically offered on it to complete the worship

ORIGIN OF SHALIGRAM

ORIGIN OF SHALIGRAM

According to the Puranas once a fierce battle broke out between Lord Shiva and the demon Jallundhara. They both appeared equally matched with no one ready to lose, and hence the battle continued for a long time. In fact it was not like an ordinary battle between the gods and the demons, but it was a match between the chastities of two chaste women Parvati and Vrinda.

Lord Shiva knew it well, that unless the chastity of Vrinda, the wife of Jallundhara, was spoiled, Jallundhara could not be killed. But it was against the nature of gods, they could not spoil the chastity of a chaste woman, Hence despite knowing everything, the gods were helpless, but for Jallundhara, nothing was a taboo.

So thinking, that spoiling the chastity of Parvati, he could defeat Lord Shiva, Jallundhara reached Parvati in the guise of Lord Shiva. But Parvati, who is herself the supreme ruler of illusion (MAYA) knew by her virtues the craftiness of Jallundhara. She at once ended his guise and signalled Lord Krishna (Vishnu) that it was now just to spoil the chastity of Jallundhara's wife, Vrinda, and it will not be a sin .

So, Lord Krishna approached Vrinda in the guise of Jallundhana. Vrinda could not understand the craftiness, and because of intimate presence her chastity got spoiled. Later on when Vrinda came to know the reality, she got infuriated and cursed Lord Krishna - O Lord, despite being a learned God you have behaved like stupids. So go and turn into shapeless black stone.

Thus by the curse of a chaste woman Lord Krishna turned into a blackstone. But later on Vrinda felt guilty that at the surge of excitement she had cursed none other than her own tutelary deity. Thus begging pardon of God, she sought a boon that from that moment onward, God will be worshipped in the same stone form. Saying Tathastu, God accepted her curse and turned into a black stone, and came to be known as Shaligrama.

As Shaligram, idol of God is found in innumerable numbers on the bed of the river Gandaki (Gandaka) these Shaligramas are same in size to an areca nut and also round in shape

why didnt Krishna marry Radha

In the oral storytelling traditions of the Braja Mandala area of India, I believe that the reason why is a great deal of attention was paid in Indian culture
to astrological compatibility and still is today actually.

There are ten points of agreement and for a marriage to be successful has to be at least 50% agreement. Radha and Krsna wanted to marry but grandmother Paurnamasi said that they did not match up properly astrologically for long term marital happiness.

Thus in some traditions it is said that they did have a secret gandharva's wedding ceremony and even if I am not mistaken Srila Jiva Goswami has said as much: that they gave their hearts to each other in a charming forest ceremony, they did not formally wed due to grandmother Paurnamasi advising against it.

To be good match astrologically for marriage certain aspects are looked at for wealth, health, children, long life, and other types of long term stabilizing
influences. However to be head over heels crazy in love with someone in astrology deals more with the planets of Venus which rules aesthetics and beauty and the attraction we feel for another person by how they look and behave and smell etc.

If you read the descriptions of Their attraction for each other it had that type of energy of Venus the Goddess of Love aka Mighty Aphrodite in Western culture

:-that is a completely retartded reason not to get married

The Secret is the law of attraction!

Everything that's coming into your life you are attracting
into your life. And it's attracted to you by virtue of the images
you're holding in your mind. It's what you're thinking.
Whatever is going on in your mind you are attracting to you.

"Every thought of yours is a real thing ----a force.":-gopal patle

The simplest way for me to look at the law of attraction is if
I think of myself as a magnet, and I know that a magnet wilt
attract to it
You are the most powerful magnet in the Universe! You contain a
magnetic power within you that is more powerful than anything
in this world, and this unfathomable magnetic power is emitted
through your thoughts.

दिल की दो बात ........................

Ek raat hui barsaat bahut,
Main roya saari raat bahut.
Har gham tha zamaane ka lekin,
Main tanha tha us raat bahut.
Phir aankh se ek saawan barsa,
Jab sehar hui to khyal aaya,
Woh baadal kitna tanha tha,
Jo barsa saari raat bahut

Na koi kisi se door hota hai,
Na koi kisi ke kareeb hota hai,
Pyar khud chal kar aata hai,
Jab koi kisi ka naseeb hota hai

Mausam se bahaar se guzara nahi hota,
Sirf keh dene se apna koi hamara nahi hota.
Pal- pal tadap kar beet jaati he zindagi ,
Safar bas Safar koi kinara nahi hota

Lamhe judai ke bekaraar karte hai,
halat meri mujhe lachaar karte hai,
ankhen meri kabhi padh ke dekh,
hum khud kaise kahe ki- hum aapko kitna yaad karte hai...
Ishq k Naye Fasane ho Gaye
Naye Mile to Hum Purane ho Gaye
Kal Tak to Marte the Hum Par
Aaj Wo Aur Kisi k Diwane ho Gaye

Bahut kam log hote h Jinhe Chahat ki Pehchan hoti hai,
Kisi pe mar Mitne se Pahle Jara Soch Lena Qki
Gawane k Liye Sirf Apni Jaan hi hoti hai

Dil chahe unhe dekhna To aankhon ka kya kasoor
Har pal mehsoos ho unki khushboo To saansoo ka kya kasoor

Hum ko Yu Pagal Banana Chhor Do
Muft Ka Maal Khana Chhor Do
Tumhari Khushbu Ajeeb H Hoti Hai
Bartan Wale Sabun Se Nahana Chhor Do

Zindgi Bhar Aapka Sath Na Chod Payenge
Aap Samajte H Hum Aapko Bhool Jayege
Har Koi Nahi Hota He Hum Jaisa
Ye AapA B Kisi Din Jan Jayenge

Tere AKELEPAN Me Sath Tera Nibhayenge
Teri TANHIYO Me Tere Pas Hum Aayenge
Tu Ek Bar Muje AWAZ Dekar To Dekh
Khud ROO Kar B Tuje Hasaynge

BHAGAVAD GITA SUMMARY

BHAGAVAD GITA SUMMARY

The Bhagavad Gita ("Song of God") is the essence of the Vedas and Upanishads. It is a universal scripture applicable to people of all temperaments, for all times. It is a book with sublime thoughts and practical instructions on Yoga, Devotion, Vedanta and Action. The Bhagavad Gita has influenced many great thinkers over the years.

•Why do you worry without cause? Whom do you fear without reason? Who can kill you? The soul is neither born, nor does it die.
•Whatever happened, happened for the good; whatever is happening, is happening for the good; whatever will happen, will also happen for the good only. You need not have any regrets for the past. You need not worry for the future. The present is happening...
•What did you lose that you cry about? What did you bring with you, which you think you have lost? What did you produce, which you think got destroyed? You did not bring anything - whatever you have, you received from here. Whatever you have given, you have given only here. Whatever you took, you took from God. Whatever you gave, you gave to him. You came empty handed, you will leave empty handed. What is yours today, belonged to someone else yesterday, and will belong to someone else the day after tomorrow. You are mistakenly enjoying the thought that this is yours. It is this false happiness that is the cause of your sorrows.

"Whatever you took, you took from God. Whatever you gave, you gave to him. You came empty handed, you will leave empty handed."

•Change is the law of the universe. What you think of as death, is indeed life. In one instance you can be a millionaire, and in the other instance you can be steeped in poverty. Yours and mine, big and small - erase these ideas from your mind. Then everything is yours and you belong to everyone.
•This body is not yours, neither are you of the body. The body is made of fire, water, air, earth and ether, and will disappear into these elements. But the soul is permanent - so who are you?
•Dedicate your being to God. He is the one to be ultimately relied upon. Those who know of his support are forever free from fear, worry and sorrow.
•Whatever you do, do it as a dedication to God. This will bring you the tremendous experience of joy and life-freedom forever.

Om and Gayathri

Om ! Bhoor Bhuva Suvah: Thath Savithur Vare'nyam
Bhargo Dhevasya Dheemahi Dhiyo Yo Nah: Prachodhayath

There are many meanings for Om and Gayathri but this one is worth studying and sharing with others. The words Bhur Bhuva and Swah as the three regions means "the three worlds of our existence here, around and Beyond" [or the three states of our existence - Physical, Subtle and Potential] causing the three wonders of Creation, Sustenance and Dissolution. The Mantra is Universal and is awesome. The following is one of the explanations given.

One explanation of Om and Gayathri

(A) Om bhur bhuvah swah:
Bhur : the earth, bhuvah : the planets (solar family), swah : the Galaxy.

We observe that when an ordinary fan with a speed of 900 RPM (Rotations Per Minute) moves, it makes noise. Then, one can imagine, what great noise would be created when the galaxies move with a speed of 20,000 miles per second. This is what this portion of the mantra explains that the sound produced due to the fast-moving earth, planets and galaxies is Om. The sound was heard during meditation by Rishi Vishvamitra, who mentioned it to other colleagues. All of them, then unanimously decided to call this sound Om the name of God, because this sound is available in all the three periods of time, hence it is sat (permanent).

Therefore, it was the first ever-revolutionary idea to identify formless God with a specific title (form) called upadhi. Until that time, everybody recognized God as formless and nobody was prepared to accept this new idea. In the Gita also, it is said, "Om ity ekaksharam brahma", meaning that the name of the Supreme is Om, which contains only one syllable (Gita 8.13). This sound Om heard during samadhi was called by all the seers nada-brahma (a very great noise), but not a noise that is normally beyond a specific amplitude and limits of decibels suited to human hearing. Hence the rishis called this sound Udgith musical sound of the above, i.e., heaven. They also noticed that the infinite mass of galaxies moving with a velocity of 20,000 miles/second was generating a kinetic energy = 0.5 MV2 and this was balancing the total energy consumption of the cosmos. Hence they named it Pranavah, which means the body (vapu) or storehouse of energy (prana).

B) Tat savitur varenyam:
Tat : that (God);savitur : the sun (star); varenyam : worthy of bowing or respect.

Once the form of a person along with the name is known to us, we may locate the specific person. Hence the two titles (upadhi) provide the solid ground to identify the formless God, Vishvamitra suggested. He told us that we could know (realize) the unknowable formless God through the known factors, viz., sound Om and light of suns (stars). A mathematician can solve an equation x2+y2=4; if x=2; then y can be known and so on. An engineer can measure the width of a river even by standing at the riverbank just by drawing a triangle. So was the scientific method, as suggested by Vishvamitra in the mantra in the next portion as under:

(C) Bhargo devasya dheemahi:
Bhargo : the light; devasya of the deity; dheemahi : we should meditate.

The rishi instructs us to meditate upon the available form (light of suns) to discover the formless Creator (God). Also he wants us to do japa of the word Om (this is understood in the Mantra).

This is how the sage wants us to proceed, but there is a great problem to realise it, as the human mind is so shaky and restless that without the grace of the Supreme (Brahman) it cannot be controlled. Hence Vishvamitra suggests the way to pray Him as under

D) Dhiyo yo nah prachodayat:
Dhiyo : intellect; yo : who; nah : we all; prachodayat : guide to right direction.

O God! Deploy our intellect on the right path.

Full scientific interpretation of Gãyatri Mantra:

The three worlds of our existence, here, around and beyond, as the earth (bhur), the planets (bhuvah), and the galaxies (swah) are moving at a very great velocity, the sound produced is Om, (the name of formless God.) That God (tat), who manifests Himself in the form of light of suns (savitur) is worthy of bowing/respect (varenyam). We all, therefore, should meditate (dheemahi) upon the light (bhargo) of that deity (devasya) and also do chanting of Om. May He (yo) guide in right direction (prachodayat) our (nah) intellect (dhiyo)
